Published Aug 16, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stored XSS in Syam Mohan WPFront Notification Bar before 2.0.0.07176 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in visitors' browsers. The Custom CSS option stores input without sanitizing or escaping it, allowing a crafted closing style tag to inject a script element into rendered pages. Administrator-level access to the WordPress settings page is required, and execution occurs when a visitor loads a page containing the notification bar.
