CVE-2021-24515Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Administrator-level stored XSS via unescaped video attributes

Published Oct 25, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Stored XSS in OriginCode Video Gallery – Vimeo and YouTube Gallery before 1.1.5 allows remote authenticated users to run script in visitors' browsers. The gallery renderer writes attacker-controlled video Title and Description values into HTML attributes without escaping, so event-handler markup survives storage. Administrator-level access is required to add the payload, and a visitor must view or interact with the embedded gallery, exposing that visitor's browser context to script execution.
