Authenticated script execution via video deletion request
Published Aug 16, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Reflected XSS in VideoWhisper Webcam Microphone Screen Recorder HTML5 before 3.2.4 allows remote authenticated users to run script. The administrative video-deletion function reflects request input into its response without the output neutralization needed to prevent script interpretation; the affected parameter is undisclosed. A low-privileged WordPress user must craft the request and induce another user to open it, causing script execution in that user's browser context.
