Stored script execution via unescaped Map Title
Published Aug 9, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stored XSS in WP Google Map Plugin before 1.7.7 allows remote authenticated users to execute script through a crafted Map Title. The map-title rendering path writes the stored title into a shortcode-rendered page without sanitizing the input or escaping the output. High-privilege access is required to create the map, and a visitor must load a page or post containing its shortcode for the script to run.
