Cross-user object modification and deletion via unchecked authorization
Published Aug 9, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Missing authorization in Workreap before 2.2.2 allows remote authenticated users to modify or delete other users' objects via AJAX. The workreap_portfolio_remove action accepts an attacker-supplied object ID and deletes the referenced portfolio without verifying ownership. Any logged-in freelancer can delete another user's portfolio; releases before 2.0.0 also expose the action without authentication.
