CVE-2021-24500Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Arbitrary object changes via unprotected AJAX actions

Published Aug 9, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

CSRF and IDOR flaws in AmentoTech Workreap before 2.2.2 allow attackers to modify or delete site objects through forged AJAX requests. Several wp-admin/admin-ajax.php actions, including workreap_portfolio_remove, accept an attacker-chosen object ID without a CSRF nonce or ownership validation. Exploitation requires a logged-in user to submit the forged POST request in 2.0.0 and later; before 2.0.0, any visitor can invoke the actions directly.
