Arbitrary file upload via unchecked Import Emails input
Published Sep 13, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Arbitrary file upload in Xpert Solution Email Artillery 4.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to store PHP files. The Import Emails endpoint accepts the txt_file upload without restricting dangerous file types and lacks a CSRF check. Exploitation requires administrator access or an induced logged-in administrator; the uploaded file is directly accessible on Nginx or IIS, while the supplied .htaccess blocks access on Apache.
