CVE-2021-24487Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Stored script execution via forged settings update

Published Oct 25, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Cross-site scripting in Sanskruti Technologies St-Daily-Tip 4.7 and earlier allows remote attackers to run script in an administrator's browser. The daily-tip settings handler accepts the default_tip POST value without a CSRF token or sanitization and later renders it without escaping. Exploitation requires a logged-in administrator to submit an attacker-controlled cross-origin form, after which the stored payload executes when the affected setting is rendered.
