Authenticated SQL injection via unchecked orderby parameter
Published Aug 2, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
SQL injection in AYS Pro Plugins Poll Maker before 3.2.1 allows remote authenticated users to manipulate the WordPress database. The get_poll_categories(), get_polls(), and get_reports() functions insert an unvalidated orderby value into SQL passed to get_results(). Access to the plugin's administrative pages and a valid high-privilege WordPress session are required; successful blind queries expose data available to the WordPress database account.
