Stored cross-site scripting via forged delimiter setting
Published Aug 2, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stored cross-site scripting in Migrate Users 1.0.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to inject JavaScript through the Delimiter option. The options handler saves the attacker-supplied delimiter without a CSRF token check, and the page later outputs the stored value without sanitization or escaping. Exploitation requires an authenticated administrator to submit the forged request and later load the affected plugin page, where the script runs in that browser session.
