Database enumeration via unvalidated slider sort parameter
Published Aug 2, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
SQL injection in AYS Pro Plugins Image Slider by Ays before 2.5.0 allows remote authenticated users to query the database. The get_sliders() function places the unvalidated orderby value into SQL passed to get_results() without an allowlist. Access to the plugin menu in the WordPress administration dashboard is required; the boolean-based blind channel permits database enumeration without direct query output.
