Authenticated blind SQL injection via unvalidated ordering
Published Aug 2, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
SQL injection in AYS Pro Photo Gallery before 4.4.4 allows remote authenticated users to execute injected SQL in the admin dashboard. The get_gallery_categories() and get_galleries() functions pass the unvalidated orderby parameter into SQL statements used by get_results() without an allowlist. Access to the administrative dashboard is required, and the blind injection alters database-query behavior without directly returning query results.
