Unauthenticated browser script execution via unsanitized Other answers
Published Jul 12, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stored XSS in YOP Poll before 6.2.8 allows remote attackers to run script in visitors' browsers through a crafted Other answer. The plugin stores the voter-supplied Other answer without sanitizing it before inserting the value into a results page. Exploitation requires an affected poll to allow and display Other answers and to expose results; viewing those results executes the payload in a visitor's browser.
