Reflected XSS via unsanitized AJAX search query
Published Jul 6, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Reflected XSS in TieLabs Jannah before 5.4.5 allows remote attackers to execute script in a victim's browser via an AJAX search request. The tie_ajax_search action returns the unsanitized query POST parameter in its response, so browser-interpreted markup reaches the page. No authentication is required, but a victim must submit or view the crafted response; script runs in the affected site's origin.
