Unauthenticated database inference via unsanitized postID query
Published Sep 20, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
SQL injection in WP-Board 1.1 beta and earlier allows remote attackers to infer database data through crafted postID values. The options.php code inserts postID into an SQL statement without validation or escaping, and the same vulnerable parameter is evaluated twice. The unauthenticated endpoint exposes a timing oracle that confirms injected conditions; broader database effects are not demonstrated.
