CVE-2021-2439Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Arbitrary file read via relative cache paths

Published Jul 20, 2021 · Updated Sep 25, 2024

Arbitrary file read in Oracle Hyperion BI+ 11.1.2.4 and 11.2.5.0 allows remote attackers to read application-local files over HTTP. The EPM Workspace caching handler accepts a relative path in the cache URL and returns the referenced file from the application's directory, including its version properties file. Reaching the impact requires victim interaction, and successful exploitation exposes only files accessible within the application directory.
