Administrator-browser script execution via unescaped map names
Published Jun 21, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stored XSS in Code Cabin Pty Ltd WP Go Maps before 8.1.12 allows remote authenticated users to run script in an administrator's browser. The map editor stores a crafted Map Name without sanitization or validation, and the admin Map List outputs that value without escaping. An authenticated user must save a malicious name and an administrator must later view the Map List, enabling access to browser-session data or actions with the administrator's privileges.
