Stored XSS via unsanitized column labels
Published Jun 21, 2021 · Updated May 5, 2025
Stored XSS in Admin Columns before 4.3 and Admin Columns Pro before 5.5.1 allows remote authenticated users to run scripts through labels. The list-screen save path stores the title without filtering, while Label::set_label assigns label input directly for later unescaped rendering. Administrator access is required, including on multisite installations where unfiltered_html is disabled, and another user must view the affected admin content.
