Stored XSS via unsanitized SVG gallery uploads
Published Aug 16, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stored XSS in Photo Gallery by 10Web before 1.5.75 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript via uploaded SVG files. The gallery image upload handler stores SVG content without removing embedded scripts, and direct access under the plugin's uploads path causes a browser to execute it. Gallery image-upload permission and a victim opening the SVG URL are required, exposing browser-accessible data or modifying displayed content.
