Authenticated database disclosure via unsanitized shortcode parameter
Published Jun 14, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Blind SQL injection in KOHSEI WORKS Yes/No Chart before 1.0.12 allows remote authenticated users to infer database data via a shortcode. The shortcode handler inserts the unsanitized sid attribute into a SQL statement, while two distinct error responses expose a Boolean oracle. Contributor-level access and an existing question set with a question are required; the demonstrated consequence is blind database disclosure rather than direct query output.
