Open redirect via unvalidated password-reset URL
Published Jun 14, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Open redirect in POSIMYTH Innovations The Plus Addons for Elementor before 4.1.10 allows remote attackers to redirect users via a crafted URL. The redirect_to_tp_custom_password_reset function in includes/plus_addon.php passes the unvalidated redirecturl parameter into a redirect response. Exploitation requires a victim to open the crafted password-reset URL and a login value naming a registered WordPress user; the redirect can send the victim to an attacker-controlled site.
