Authenticated SQL injection via unsanitized delete ID
Published Jun 14, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
SQL injection in Side Menu Lite before 3.1.5 allows remote authenticated users with Administrator privileges to execute SQL via the menu-delete request. In admin/partials/main.php, the handler concatenates the unvalidated did GET parameter directly into a DELETE query, enabling time-based blind injection. Exploitation requires an Administrator account and access to the WordPress dashboard; database confidentiality, integrity, and availability can all be affected.
