Stored XSS via nonce-free settings update
Published Jun 1, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Cross-site request forgery in Clogica WP Login Security and History 1.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to store script payloads. The settings handler accepts a forged POST to options-general.php without a nonce check and stores unvalidated fields such as login_blocked_msg. Exploitation requires a logged-in administrator to submit the induced request; the stored code then executes when the affected administrative content is rendered.
