Reflected XSS via unescaped settings tab parameter
Published May 17, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Reflected XSS in Clogica 404 SEO Redirection 1.3 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute script via a crafted tab parameter. The settings page writes the unsanitized, unescaped tab value into an HTML attribute, allowing attacker-controlled markup to break into script execution. Exploitation requires a victim to open the crafted settings-page request; the resulting script runs in that victim's browser context and can read or modify data available to that session.
