Stored XSS via unescaped image settings
Published May 17, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stored XSS in Liquid Web GiveWP before 2.10.4 allows remote authenticated users with administrator access to execute scripts in another user's browser. The Stripe Checkout Background Image and Email Logo settings store administrator-supplied values without sanitizing them or escaping them when rendered. An administrator must save a crafted value and another user must view the affected output, allowing script execution in that user's browser and access to data or actions available to that session.
