Administrator-session script execution via unsanitized profile State
Published May 24, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stored XSS in LifterLMS before 4.21.1 allows remote authenticated users to execute attacker-supplied scripts during a privileged profile view. The Edit profile page stores the State field without adequate sanitization, and the About section later renders that value without neutralizing script markup. Student-level access is sufficient to plant the payload; execution requires an administrator to open the affected profile or student details view.
