Authenticated script execution via unescaped settings parameter
Published May 14, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Reflected XSS in PickPlugins Accordions before 2.2.30 allows remote authenticated users to execute script via the settings tab parameter. The settings page writes the unsanitized, unescaped tab GET value into an HTML attribute, letting crafted input break into executable markup. Exploitation requires a logged-in user to open the crafted administrative URL, after which script runs in that user's browser context.
