Administrator script execution via unsanitized tab parameter
Published May 5, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Reflected XSS in Smart Popup by Supsystic before 1.10.5 allows remote attackers to execute script in an administrator's browser. The options page inserts the unsanitized tab query parameter into an HTML attribute, allowing crafted markup to break out and run as script. Exploitation requires a logged-in administrator to open a crafted URL, exposing or modifying data available to that browser session.
