Script execution via unsanitized options tab attribute
Published May 5, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Reflected XSS in Ultimate Maps by Supsystic before 1.2.5 allows remote attackers to execute script via a crafted options-page URL. The plugin writes the unsanitized tab parameter into an HTML attribute on its options page, allowing injected event-handler attributes to execute. Execution requires an authenticated WordPress administrator to follow the crafted link, exposing data and actions available to that browser session.
