Stored XSS via forged calculator-header update
Published May 5, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Cross-site request forgery in Gurcharan Singh Fitness Calculators before 1.9.6 allows remote attackers to store script in calculator headers. The water-calculator settings endpoint accepts a forged POST and stores the unsanitized fcw[fcw_heading] value. An attacker must induce a logged-in WordPress administrator to submit the request; the stored script then executes when affected content is viewed.
