Published May 5, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stored XSS in Sina Extra Sina Extension for Elementor before 3.3.12 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript in visitors' browsers. Banner Slider's title_tag and subtitle_tag parameters, plus similar tag parameters in three widgets, accept JavaScript in save_builder requests and render it without escaping. Contributor access is required, and viewing or previewing the saved page triggers the payload, enabling actions in the victim's WordPress session, including administrator account takeover.
