Contributor-level stored XSS via unenforced widget tags
Published May 5, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stored XSS in Livemesh Themes Livemesh Addons for Elementor before 6.8 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript. The affected widgets trust client-supplied HTML tag settings such as title_tag and emit them as markup instead of enforcing the editor's tag allowlist. A contributor account can save the payload, which runs when another user views, previews, or edits the page and can act in an administrator's session.
