Contributor-level stored script execution via unvalidated tags
Published May 5, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stored XSS in WPVibes Addon Elements for Elementor before 1.11.2 allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts in viewers' browsers. The Flip Box and Price Table widgets accept attacker-selected HTML tag parameters in save_builder requests and render them as executable markup without enforcing the configured tag allowlist. Contributor access is required to save a crafted page, and execution occurs when another user views or previews it.
