Remote code execution via unchecked CSV upload
Published May 5, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Unrestricted file upload in vyeddula College publisher Import 0.1 allows remote authenticated users to execute PHP through the CSV importer. The import upload handler accepts a supplied file without confirming that it is CSV or blocking executable PHP content, allowing the file to run on the WordPress host. Normal exploitation requires a high-privilege WordPress account; the missing CSRF check also lets remote attackers trigger the upload through an authenticated administrator's browser.
