Authenticated code execution via incomplete extension blacklist
Published May 5, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Unrestricted file upload in Business Directory Plugin before 5.11.1 allows remote authenticated users to execute PHP through an imported ZIP. The CSV import handler extracts archive members after applying an extension blacklist that omits .php4, placing executable PHP in a web-accessible upload directory. WordPress administrator access to the import page is required, and successful exploitation runs attacker-supplied PHP in the site server context.
