Stored XSS via unsanitized AJAX parameters
Published May 5, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stored XSS in Bitorbit WPBakery Page Builder Clipboard before 4.5.6 allows remote authenticated users to run JavaScript in backend pages. The vc_clipboard_activate AJAX action stores attacker-controlled email and license_key values without capability checks or sanitization. Subscriber access is sufficient to plant a payload, but a backend user must load an affected administration page to execute it in that user's browser.
