Administrator script execution via unsanitized tab parameter
Published Apr 22, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Reflected XSS in Ivory Search before 4.6.1 allows remote attackers to execute script in an administrator's browser via a crafted link. The Search Forms page reflects the tab query parameter into its HTML response without properly sanitizing the parameter before output. Exploitation requires a high-privilege user to open the link and requires knowledge of a valid search-form identifier.
