Site disconnection via nonce-free administrator request
Published Apr 12, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
CSRF in Patreon WordPress before 1.7.0 allows remote attackers to disconnect a site from Patreon through a crafted link. The administrative request branch trusts patreon_wordpress_action without verifying a nonce, then deletes the site's stored Patreon connection options. Exploitation requires a logged-in administrator to visit the link; disconnection stops synchronization of new Patreon content.
