Stored XSS via unescaped related-posts title
Published Apr 5, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stored XSS in WordPress Related Posts 3.6.4 and earlier allows remote authenticated users with administrator access to execute JavaScript. The Related Posts Title field on /wp-admin/admin.php?page=wordpress-related-posts stores script markup without neutralization, and post views render it. Administrator access is required to plant the payload, and execution occurs when a user views a post displaying the related-posts block.
