JavaScript execution via unchecked heading tag
Published Apr 5, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stored XSS in Elementor Website Builder before 3.1.4 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript through a saved heading. The Heading widget inserts the user-controlled header_size value as the rendered HTML tag while placing the supplied title inside that element. Contributor access is sufficient to submit a modified save_builder request, and the script runs when the affected page is viewed or previewed.
