Unauthenticated service interruption via undisclosed filter flaw
Published Jul 20, 2021 · Updated Sep 25, 2024
Denial of service in Outside In Filters in Oracle Outside In Technology 8.5.5 allows remote attackers to hang or crash a consumer via HTTP. Oracle has not disclosed the flawed parser, file format, or incorrect operation within the filters. Reachability requires a consuming application to pass network-supplied content into the SDK; exploitation interrupts that application's service without reported data exposure or modification.
