Database disclosure via unprepared course ID query
Published Apr 5, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
SQL injection in Themeum Tutor LMS before 1.7.7 allows remote authenticated users to read WordPress database data via course ratings. The tutor_place_rating function interpolates the user-controlled course_id value into a wpdb get_var query without prepare or SQL escaping. A student account is required, and blind Boolean or time-delay responses expose database contents one character at a time without directly changing data.
