Database disclosure via unprepared question lookup
Published Apr 5, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
UNION-based SQL injection in Themeum Tutor LMS before 1.8.3 allows remote authenticated users to read database data via an AJAX request. The tutor_quiz_builder_get_question_form handler interpolates the untrusted question_id value into a get_row() SELECT without a prepared statement. Student access is sufficient because the AJAX action lacks nonce and capability checks, and query results are returned in the response.
