CVE-2021-24179Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Remote code execution via forged ZIP import

Published May 5, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Cross-site request forgery in Business Directory Plugin before 5.11 allows remote attackers to make an administrator upload executable files. The administrative CSV import endpoint accepts a ZIP archive from a forged multipart request and extracts embedded PHP files into a web-accessible upload path without validating their type. Exploitation requires a logged-in administrator to submit the forged request; uploaded PHP can then execute with the WordPress site's privileges.
