Administrator open redirect via unvalidated redirect parameter
Published Apr 5, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Open redirect in Ninja Forms before 3.4.34 allows remote attackers to redirect WordPress administrators to arbitrary URLs through OAuth connection requests. The wp_ajax_nf_oauth_connect action uses a user-supplied redirect parameter without protection, sending the administrator's browser to the supplied destination. Exploitation requires the administrator to follow or load the crafted request, enabling phishing or token-interception setup rather than direct server compromise.
