Administrator-level database disclosure via unprepared settings query
Published Jan 16, 2024 · Updated Jun 20, 2025
Blind SQL injection in Benjamin Rojas WP Editor before 1.2.7 allows remote authenticated users to read WordPress database data. The settings-save AJAX handler accepts arbitrary setting fields and places insufficiently escaped values into an unprepared SQL query, enabling time-based injection. Exploitation requires WordPress administrator privileges and a valid settings nonce; successful queries can extract sensitive database information.
