Unauthenticated event disclosure via unrestricted export actions
Published Mar 18, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Improper access control in Webnus Modern Events Calendar Lite before 5.16.5 allows remote attackers to export all event data as CSV or XML. The MEC import/export handler accepts mec-ix-action=export-events at /wp-admin/admin.php and generates export files without an authorization check. No credentials or user interaction are required, and the demonstrated consequence is disclosure of stored event records.
