API credential replacement via nonce-free settings form
Published Mar 18, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
CSRF in the ActiveCampaign WordPress plugin before 8.0.2 allows remote attackers to replace API credentials through its Settings form. The form accepts attacker-supplied api_url and api_key fields without verifying that the administrator intentionally submitted the request. Exploitation requires a logged-in administrator to visit attacker-controlled content, after which the plugin connects to the attacker's account.
