Out-of-bounds write in Microsoft Windows Codecs Library allows remote attackers to execute code when a user opens crafted content. The camera codec pack insufficiently validates user-supplied data before processing it, permitting a write past the end of an allocated buffer. Visiting a malicious page or opening a malicious file is required, and successful exploitation runs code in the current process.
