Remote code execution via unquoted protocol arguments
Published Mar 10, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Argument injection in Facebook Gameroom before 1.26.0 allows remote attackers to execute code via a malicious fbgames URL. The fbgames protocol handler passes attacker-controlled URL content to the Gameroom executable without properly quoting argument boundaries. Exposure requires Gameroom to have registered the handler on Windows; the published record reports code execution without further constraints.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
